USIU set for Ukunda visit

South Coast Pirates are set to play host to United States International University (USIU) who will tour Ukunda for a Championship league fixture on Saturday.

The two teams will square it out during round eight at the St Joseph Ground with log points at stake for both sides.

The visitors are in fine form after dispatching JKUAT 25-5 in their previous fixture at home and will be seeking to add another victory that will continue to place them in the chasing pack firmly behind unbeaten sides Menengai Oilers and Mean Machine.

As both camps prepare for this potentially nerve-ending cracker, USIU will draw motivation from their win during the first leg where they emerged victorious during the December fixture played in Nairobi.

Aiming to secure the double over Pirates, USIU certainly won't have their task cut out against the hosts who are still in the search for a first home win of the year. Following the 20-0 humbling to Mean Machine, Pirates are expected to come out strongly with the aim of rectifying the wrongs from the previous weekend.

After USIU, Pirates travel to play Catholic Monks before returning home to play Ngong and Menengai Oilers in the month of February.
