As the highly anticipated South Coast Fives Beach Touch Rugby Tournament approaches, Safar Beach Rugby Team captain Collins Kabayo shares his thoughts on last year’s performance and his aspirations for this year’s event.
“Last year’s edition was awesome despite not achieving our main goal, which was winning the tournament,” he stated. The team faced a challenging journey and fell short in the quarterfinals.
“I hope it has inspired us to go even further and win the tournament this year.”
Kabayo is confident in their progress and believes they will be ready to compete at their best by July 19th.
“We’ve been working on our mistakes and strengthening our strengths and am sure we’ll be good to go by the 19th of July,” he affirmed.
The captain is not only focused on the competition but also looks forward to the overall experience that the Diani Beach Touch Rugby Tournament offers.
“I am looking forward to a successful hunt, lots of fun, good beach rugby, interactions, and of course, great memories in this year’s Diani Beach Touch Rugby.”
The three-day event will be staged at The Safari Beach Hotel, Diani from 19th-21st July.
