South Coast Pirates RFC has received a timely boost ahead of their return to the National Sevens Circuit after securing a key sponsorship deal with coconut products giant Kentaste.
The partnership will see Kentaste support the Diani-based outfit at the third leg of the circuit — the prestigious Christie 7s tournament — set for August 16th and 17th at the RFUEA Grounds in Nairobi.
This marks a pivotal moment for the coastal club, who missed last year’s edition due to financial constraints and are now eyeing a strong comeback on the national sevens stage.
In an official statement, the club announced:
“South Coast Pirates RFC is proud to announce Kentaste as our official sponsor for the third leg of the National Sevens Circuit — Christie 7s tournament. This marks a significant milestone for our club as we continue to grow our presence on the national stage with the backing of a proudly Kenyan brand.”
Founded in 2014, Kentaste has grown from a family business into a globally recognized exporter of premium coconut products, supplying markets across Africa, the USA, Europe, and the Middle East. The company’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and healthy living closely mirrors the Pirates’ mission and coastal heritage.
“As a coastal-based club with deep roots in our region, we are thrilled to align with a brand that not only shares our heritage but also champions innovation and healthy living,” the club added.
With renewed focus and backing, South Coast Pirates are determined to make their presence felt once again, proudly flying the coastal flag high across Kenya’s rugby sevens map.
