On Thursday 17th, April 2024, South Coast Pirates’ top leadership had the honor of paying a courtesy call to the office of the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) of the Department of Social Services and Talent Management, Hon Francisca Kilonzo.
Led by the Club Chairman Mr. George Mokaya, Head Coach Kevin Amiani, and Youth development coach Mwinyi Hajj, we proudly presented the KRU championship trophy we clinched a fortnight ago in a historical final against Impala.
We engaged in fruitful discussions on how our club will collaborate with the Kwale County government in uplifting the status of rugby in the region.
We wish to thank Hon Kilonzo for her wish to express the government’s to promote rugby in Kwale county at a time when Pirates will be making a top-flight league debut, becoming the first club in the history of Kwale county to feature in a top-flight league across all disciplines.
